How to open a Markdown document in WeChat

Assistants mostly write Markdown, but WeChat cannot open .md files and pasted text loses headings and lists. LivePage lays Markdown out as a web page and publishes it as a link that reads well inside WeChat.

You can publish one piece without signing in: a web page, Markdown, PDF, PPTX or images, expiring after 7 days with up to 50 readers. Sign in for permanent links that keep the same address across updates.

Three steps

  1. Get the .md file

Ask WorkBuddy, Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to save the content as a Markdown file, with images in the same folder.

  2. Upload to LivePage

Open the quick share page and pick the file with no account; preview the layout, then confirm to get the link. A connected assistant can publish it with one sentence instead.

  3. Send it in WeChat

The link opens as a formatted page in WeChat with headings, lists, tables and code blocks intact; forward it to a friend or group.

Say this to your assistant

Publish this Markdown file with LivePage and show me a preview first. After I confirm I will send it in WeChat.

FAQ

Do images, tables and code blocks render?

Can I use it without signing in?

Yes. Quick share needs no account, takes up to 8 files and 20 MB in total, and the link expires after 7 days.

What if I want to keep it and update it later?

Sign in once and the link stays valid; push new versions to the same page and the link never changes.

Can recipients read it on a computer?

Yes. The same link opens on phones and computers and the layout adapts.

Can I send several files at once?

Yes. Up to 8 files per share; recipients switch between them inside the same link.
