How to turn a PDF into a link that opens in WeChat
A PDF sent in WeChat must be downloaded and opened in another app, and older relatives and clients often stop right there. LivePage publishes the PDF as a link that pages through directly inside WeChat, on phones and computers alike.
You can publish one page without signing in: a web page, Markdown, PDF, PPTX or images, expiring after 7 days with up to 50 readers. Sign in for permanent links that keep the same address across updates.
Three steps
Prepare the PDF
A report, proposal or handout exported by your assistant, or any PDF you have, up to 20 MB.
Upload to LivePage
Open the quick share page and pick the file with no account; preview the paging, then confirm to get the link. A connected assistant can publish it with one sentence instead.
Send it in WeChat
The link opens and pages through inside WeChat with no download. Forward it to a friend, client or group.
Say this to your assistant
Publish this PDF with LivePage and show me a preview first. After I confirm I will send it in WeChat.
FAQ
Does the recipient have to download the PDF?
No. The link pages through inside WeChat, on phones and computers alike.
Can I use it without signing in?
Yes. Quick share needs no account; the link is created after you confirm and expires after 7 days.
Can I see how far readers got?
After signing in you can see whether it was opened, which page readers reached and how long they stayed. Only device and page activity is recorded, never identities.
What if the PDF changes?
After signing in, push a new version to the same page and the link stays the same; messages already sent keep working.
Can I limit who can open it?
Yes. Passcode mode requires a passcode; switching back to private cuts access immediately, and you can rotate the address if the link leaks.
